How to calculate the nutrient content of food

Information on the presence and quantitative composition of nutrients in food products is in the focus of consumer attention.
"How to calculate the nutritional content of food: A guide for food business operators"
The Recipe Calculation Guide has been developed by EuroFIR AISBL to explain to manufacturers how to perform recipe calculations to fulfil their legal obligation to declare nutritional values in the EU.
The guide consists of two parts.
Part 1: General description explains the procedure for calculating formulations in ten steps.
Part 2 demonstrates the calculation of recipes in practice in the form of separate EXCEL worksheets.
The results should always be regarded as approximate.
It is recommended that the results of the formulation calculation are verified by chemical analysis of the product to determine whether the calculation is an acceptable method for a particular type of food product.
