The regular participant and winner of Favorite Food&Drinks has launched a new production facility for frozen bakery products in the western part of Ukraine.
Bakery Food Investment's new plant in Khust: over UAH 400 million in investments and ambitious export plans
Bakery Food Investment (BFI) has opened a modern frozen bakery plant in Khust, Zakarpattia region. The project became one of the largest investments in the Ukrainian food industry in 2025, with total investments exceeding UAH 400 million.

The new plant is already in operation, with lines producing butter pastries and food ice. In the next two years, the company plans to launch three more production lines, including croissants, donuts and phyllo dough. The company's total capacity is expected to reach 3,000 tonnes of finished products per month, about a third of which will be exported.
In addition to the technological component, the plant is implementing the concept of an industrial and social cluster. The plans include the creation of a bakery, a café, a family area for employees, leisure spaces, and an electric filling station. At the same time, the company is focused on sustainable staff growth: dozens of jobs have already been created, and in the future there will be up to 500. The company plans to organise transport for employees from the surrounding communities and develop cooperation with local vocational education institutions.

The opening of the plant is a logical continuation of BFI's expansion strategy, which has been actively investing in Ukrainian production even during the war. The company has previously upgraded its facilities in Chernihiv region, and a completely new construction project was completed in Khust. Financing is partially supported by government programmes, including Affordable Loans 5-7-9% and Energy Source.
Bakery Food Investment has been operating in the Ukrainian market since 2004. The company specialises in frozen bakery products - hot dogs, sinabons, sweet muffins - without trans fats, using shock freezing at -18 °C. The products are exported to 15 countries, including the US, Turkey, Georgia and the EU.
The launch of the new facility in Khust strengthens BFI's position as one of the industry leaders and demonstrates the business's belief in the economic future of Ukraine.
