The quality of water consumed by humans has a significant impact on their health. Drinking water must be safe, have favourable organoleptic properties and a harmless chemical composition.
When buying/ordering bottled drinking water, you should pay attention to the label, which must contain the following information:
💦 "Drinking water", its name, type (treated, untreated (natural), artificially mineralised, artificially fluorinated, artificially iodised, with optimal mineral content, carbonated (strong, medium, weak) or non-carbonated, etc;)
💦 composition ("drinking water" and a list of added substances, including preservatives, macro- and microelements);
💦 actual values of the indicators of physiological completeness of the mineral composition of drinking water in accordance with Annex 4 to Sanitary and Epidemiological Norms 2.2.4-171-10;
💦 storage conditions;
💦 volume of the container;
💦 date of manufacture and expiry date;
💦 name, location and telephone numbers of the manufacturer;
💦 place of water production;
💦 type of source water, location of the underground source of drinking water supply and the number and depth of the well;
💦 production batch number;
💦 the name of the regulatory document that defines the requirements for the quality of drinking water.
If you buy or take water at a point of sale, the above information should be set out on an information sheet that should be placed in a prominent place.
