The Packers Club is organising the XVI Conference PACKAGING INDUSTRY, which will take place on 7 November 2024 at the Special Ecological Enterprise SPE RADA, located in Bucha, Kyiv region, known worldwide after 24 February 2022.
The theme of this year's conference is SUSTAINABILITY: From Packaging Design to Recycling covers the entire packaging value chain, with working models and technologies for creating recyclable packaging at each stage. At the conference, panel discussions will focus on:
- the state, needs and assistance to Ukrainian packaging companies during the war, identified by the Packers Club as part of a project with UNIDO and in cooperation with EU4Business;
- the EU's intergovernmental agreement, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which outlines the requirements that packaging must meet for circulation in the EU and the situation with packaging legislation in Ukraine;
- the state and needs of packaging companies for raw materials, packaging and printing materials, and recycled (secondary) materials for the production of modern, safe and recyclable packaging;
- innovative packaging materials, technologies and equipment, new projects developed and implemented in the Ukrainian packaging market;
- certification and testing of packaging materials and packaging for safety within the framework of existing EU regulations.
Well-known Ukrainian and international experts in the packaging industry have been invited to speak at panel discussions on these issues.
The conference will feature an exhibition of posters "WAR. UKRAINE. BUTCHA..." initiated by the Packaging magazine based on the Poster in War project in cooperation with the Association of Graphic Designers "4th Block".
