Almost half (50.5%) of Ukrainians drink beer from time to time, according to a study by the World Health Organisation.
Ukrainian brewers finished 2024 with positive production dynamics.
According to industry experts, 140 million decalitres of beer were produced in Ukraine last year, which is 104.8% of the volume in 2023.
This statistic refers to the production of beer other than non-alcoholic beer with an alcohol content of up to 0.5%.
Experts note that the increase in production indicates a partial recovery of the industry, but to reach pre-war levels, brewers will have to work on expanding capacity, improving logistics and entering new markets.
Despite the challenges faced by the industry due to the war, Ukrainian beer continues to be in demand both in the domestic market and abroad.
